Dog Sunnies

Dogs may need sunnnies (aka sunglasses, goggles) for the following reasons:

1. Exposure to bright sunlight may worsen eye conditions like chronic, superficial keratitis. Protective eyewear can protect the eyes by reducing sun exposure.
2. Sunnies may prevent eye injuries from scratches, debris and other irritants.
3. Brachycephalic breeds like French bulldogs and pugs, are sensitive to injuries because of their bulging eyes. Protective eyewear can help to prevent eye issues like corneal ulcers.
4. UV rays can be harmful to dogs and people. Exposure may lead to cataracts and other eye conditions.
