The Magic of Holistics

This picture was taken August 19, 2018, 6 days after Murphy’s symptoms of Canine Cognitive Dysfunction first surfaced. He stopped eating, forgot how to walk up the stairs to our apartment, was incontinent and confused. He didn’t seem to know me or know where he was. He stood in the corner of our living room staring at the wall until I moved him.

Five months passed since then. Five months of research, confusion and tears. Five months filled with moments of doubt and moments of elation. During those five months I decided to treat Murphy holistically.

I learned about patience and trust. I learned that action (almost any action) is better than no action at all. I learned not to be afraid of trying and that not trying is far worse.

Mostly, I learned about the magic of holistics, as I watched them bring my boy back to me. CCD is a cruel taskmaster. The game changes every day, one day is good, the next day not so much. But for Murphy the end results after these 5 months are amazing. Continue reading and scroll down to see Murphy now!

Murphy’s Holistic Cocktail

nuleaf cbd oilBefore we start, I want to reiterate the following. This is Murphy’s journey. His healthcare and supplement protocol are specific to him. Please use his journey as a guidepost, not a hitching post. Do your own research. Speak to your veterinarian if your dog has signs of CCD or any other illness, and always check with your vet before changing your dog’s food or adding supplements. Every dog is different and what works for one may not work for another.

With that clearly said, here’s Murphy’s Holistic Cocktail: Continue reading
