Poison Control

One of the first things pet parents should do before bringing their new pet home is to pet proof the pet’s living area. But that’s not always an easy thing to do because many pet parents don’t have a full understanding of all the foods, household products and plants that are are toxic to pets.

Fortunately, they don’t have to because there are many great resources available that provide that information, and many 24/7 hotlines you can call anytime with any concerns you may have. If your dog just ate something you’re not sure of call one of these these hotlines and receive immediate help.

Walking Doggies will be providing a full list of pet poison control centers, and first on our list is a wonderful Animal Poison Control resource and hotline from the ASPCA.

We hope you never need these resources but keep these numbers in a safe place just in case.
